Flow coating test
The flow-through test can be used to evaluate thecompatibility and defoaming effect of the defoamer with the coating systembeing tested. The samplesubjected to the stirring test was immediately poured onto a polyester film. Polyester film to be placed in avertical tilt angle of 25 degrees on the frame. Carefully observe the flow smears, showing the presence ofbubbles. The method canalso evaluate the defoaming effect of the defoamer by observing the dry film. In some cases, extremely high levels ofantifoam selected by the agitation test and the flow coating test are notsufficient to demonstrate the problems and evaluation of substrates that arenot very smooth and contain air. When determining the optimum amount of defoamer, take fullaccount of the end use of the product.
